A day onboard Seafin will be a unique and memorable experience, so our team are keen to ensure the day perfectly matches your requirements. We can adapt and tailor almost any element of your day – including the start and finish location and times, whether you stop ashore or anchor in a bay for lunch, your choice of lunch menu, other catering options throughout the day etc. Just ask us about your requirements.
9am: Guests board Seafin at Shamrock Quay, and enjoy a breakfast on board of coffee, juice, bacon rolls, and brioche.
10:30am: Seafin departs from Shamrock Quay, Ocean Village at the very heart of Southampton, heading towards the well sheltered area of Southampton Water. We will continue over to Cowes and along the coast of the Isle of Wight before cruising back across the Solent and into the mouth of the internationally famous River Hamble. Home to thousands of yachts, Hamble River is the heart of the South Coast Sailing scene.
12:30pm: Stop at Port Hamble, one of several marinas on the river with fantastic facilities and excellent restaurants. Port Hamble Marina is in the centre of Hamble le Rice a quaint Hampshire village. Guests may disembark for a visit to Banana Wharf Restaurant to stretch their legs for a stroll along the river or they may simply stay on board and relax.
1.30pm: Your chosen lunch menu is served on the aft deck and in the saloon.
2.30pm: Seafin resumes sailing and you will gently make way back down the River and over to the Island. We will find a suitable bay (depending on the prevailing currents and winds) where we anchor and the two jet skis and paddle boards can be launched for the guests’ pleasure. Swimming, sunbathing and relaxing are the order of the day.
4pm: Afternoon Tea is served. Drinks and refreshments are served throughout the day, but we all gather on the aft deck for a very British afternoon tea.
5.30pm: Return to Shamrock Quay.
Free parking is available in the marina for your guests. All mooring costs and fuel are included in the charter fee. The price also includes the usual complement of 5 crew members – although it is customary to leave an additional tip (of about 5% of the charter fee) for crew who work exceptionally hard to deliver the perfect day for you.
The standard menus are included in the cost of the charter along with good quality red, rosé and white wines, beer, Pimms or similar, soft drinks, mineral water, tea and coffee all available throughout the day.
Guests must wear soft shoes and we recommend that you bring a towel and wind/splash jacket, sun cream and sunglasses.
